is there no regulations regarding qualifications in New Zealand. Can anyone call themselves a "holistic therapists" I become very fustrated when practioners set up with no real comprehensive training behind them, there is some wonderful academic training to be had in this field. You would not get away with this in any other area of health and wellbeing.
It seems that some holistic therapists manage to come up with these beautiful little stories about being teachers of ancient philosophies, Egyptian undulating heart breath.......really? come on! it really is sickly just reading it. The poetic licence just goes on with in ongoing web pages and advertisements of themselves.
I totally believe in alternative health methods, however I can not stand these fluffy "want a be's" that call themselves "holistic therapists"...what is that any way. they claim to have all these funny little qualifications with elaborate names from beauty schools,Tantra courses and call themselves sexual therapists. Reiki masters, omg..... there are soooo many Reiki Marsters in NZ. Belly dance instructors and so on and all forms of Massage experts. tantra Jade lotus.......but not sexual of course...the elaborate web pages and staged highly made up posed shots....... that are well oudated, in my case I didnt recognise the person, little sultry inferences.
It is so evident that these people have inflated egos and actually pray on vulnerable people, claiming to be exceptionally professional with an array of services that cure everything and everyone and who appeal to the vulnerable who rarely check whether qualifications have some substance to them and of course for some, depending on what you are going for, dont really care. For some people all they need is a caring touch and an ear or other!!!!! and they hooked. Thats cool, but lets just get real..........these people really need to take a long look at themselves or are they so self centred that they actually believe the facade they proclaim.
